Appointment Scheduling and Cancellation Process

We are committed to providing quality care and ensuring that appointment times are available for all patients. To achieve this, we have established the following scheduling and cancellation policy.

At Utah Surgery Group, we're committed to providing timely, high-quality care to every patient. Our scheduling and cancellation policy exists for one reason: to make sure appointment times are available when you need them — and when other patients need them too.

How to Schedule an Appointment

Scheduling with Dr. Eakin or Dr. Beck is straightforward. Call our office directly at 801.352.5911 and our team will help you find a time that works for your needs — whether you're coming in for a general surgery consultation, a bariatric evaluation, or a follow-up visit.

Cancelling or Rescheduling Your Appointment

If you need to cancel or reschedule, we ask for at least 24 hours' advance notice so we can offer that time to another patient in need.

You have two easy options:

  • Call our office: 801.352.5911
  • Message us through the patient portal: Patient Portal — log in and use the portal's messaging feature to communicate your rescheduling needs

No-Show & Late Cancellation Policy

We define a no-show as a missed appointment with no prior notice. A late cancellation is any cancellation made on the same day as your scheduled visit or with less than 24 hours' notice.

In either case, a $25 fee will be charged. This fee is the patient's responsibility and cannot be billed to insurance.

We enforce this policy consistently because every open appointment slot represents a patient who could have been seen — often someone waiting for important surgical care.

Exceptions

We understand that emergencies and unexpected circumstances happen. If something urgent arises, please contact us as soon as possible. Our team will review the situation, and fees may be waived at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.

Don't hesitate to call — we'd rather hear from you than have you feel like you can't reach out.
